Comparative Analysis between Surrogates and Wall-E

The both movies deal with robots. The Surrogates is all about security  and they believe to attain the ideal world wherein crime, pain, fear and consequences do not exist while the Wall E deals with the robot whose objective is to clean up the mess that the humanity has left, Wall E (Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-Class) knows how to love and protect his only one while in surrogates it is more on action rather than relationships.

STRENGTH

            The strength of the movie is that it is showing the real essence of unconditional love. Despite the difference between two different creatures, it is not a hindrance for a love to conquer. This movie showed that those relationships that have lovers that share common hobbies and interest can spend a lot of time together, they like and do the same things; that’s why it is believed that their opinions do not contradict very often. Even though Wall E is an animated film and more on fantasies that mostly believe only by kids but still, the story and theme is for all the people who are open to love despite the differences and hindrance they encounter.

WEAKNESS

            The weakness of this movie is that even though the author shows how great it is to love and be loved by some reasons but still the people nowadays are alike, individualistic, living for oneself, not attracting each other or showing interest in anything more than foods and directions from the authority. It seems that people are degrading and they are evolving in humans who are completely dependent on technology and their primary needs. The situation of the movie is very similar to today’s world where everyone worries mostly about the money, where material things are becoming the priority to many people.

OPPORTUNITIES

            The animated film Wall E showed that in life, there are numerous opportunities for all of us, most especially when it comes to love. The opportunity to become a better person for somebody, the opportunity to show the world that even there are hundreds of reasons why it’s a “NO”, there are more reasons to say “YES”. It is really a heart touching story that open the doors to live with uncounted reasons, to laugh like it is the end of the world, to love like it will never happen again. The opportunity that despite of those negative things happening to our lives, it is still a beautiful world to live with.

THREATS

            The declaration of intent to cause harm in this movie is that Eve was taken by the spaceship because Wall e really love eve, he didn’t hesitated to hook in the space machine. Wall e doesn’t know where he will go but still he didn’t hesitate because he want to follow his only love. Without knowing the harm it brings, he went to the flow just to be with the one he loves.

The modern technology has evolved and it allows human to live their lives through robots called surrogates. As this robotics developed many people stays at home operating their surrogates with their signatures to live their lives outside the world. Surrogates are believed to attain the ideal world wherein crime, pain, fear, and consequences don’t exist. Indeed, through these artificial life forms people are living their lives remotely from the safety of their homes.

WEAKNESS

Surrogates changed the kind of society people established before. The human society has changed into robotic society. The land of people became land of robots.

Though there are still people who remained living their lives in reservation of the traditional way without the presence of substitutes but still the majority of them were influenced already to use surrogates.

OPPORTUNITIES

With surrogate’s positive effect people are given chances to explore their lives without venturing their homes. They can just link with surrogates and let them go into the outside world without having to deal with danger as people mains purpose of using surrogates is for their safety and for them to stay away from crimes and any consequences. That is how great surrogates are and that’s what they are capable of.

THREATS

They believed that the invention and utilization of surrogates would create a better society as it would reduce crimes and provide security for the people. But still crimes exist and in fact some surrogates together with the persons who operate them were destroyed. Some FBI Agents made further investigations and the worst thing is that they found out that the crime is the result of the conspiracy among armies, the company VSI that manufactures androids, the FBI, the Prophet leaders of human and the scientist that had developed the surrogate technology.

            As Computer Gaming gained popularity, many gaming devices were created to enhance our gaming experience.

 KEYBOARD:
                In computing, a keyboard is typewriter keyboard, which uses an arrangement of buttons or keys, to act as mechanical levers or electronic switches. After punch cards and paper tape, interaction via teletype-style keyboards became the main input device for computers.

It would always seems as if I'm ignorant if I encounter new technologies. The first time computer became popular (I can't remember the exact date :)) I was amazed with what it brings, it makes the world easy and comfortable in terms of communications, typing, and other difficult works that made the computer easy. however, as it evolves in our world nowadays, it seems that there are lots of people who got addict (I mean, they already change their daily routines because they are already used of computers, which is not good) the people, especially those teenagers. In my condition, I know how to use my time in dealing with computers, i know how to balance my time. In my case, it is not a destruction but it is a useful tool in dealing with my studies, especially in the research(",)
