Five Examples of Storage Device

DVD:
DVD, also known as Digital Video Disc or Digital Versatile Disc, is an optical disk storage media format. DVDs are of the same dimensions as compact discs (CD's), but are capable of storing almost seven times as much data.

USB:
Universal Serial Bus, storage device to multi-functional unit for the computer users.Flash drives, or thumb drives, are one of the newest forms of computer storage. These drives connect to any computer by way of USB.

 FIXED DISK:
Is a storage Device containing a rigid magnetic disk for computers that would help the people store data.

COMPUTER MEMORY DATA STORAGE DEVICE:
for recommendation and education purposes only by placing one of mandatory reference links below. You may use the model for any video or image rendering production. Link to your uploads from your website, email, blog, or forum. The most viewed models get the highest rates.

EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE:
External hard drives are exactly the same as internal drives, with one exception. Rather then being enclosed inside your computer, external hard drives have their own separate casing and sit externally to our computers.

Five examples of Output Devices

PRINTER:
A computer printer is another type of output device. Many modern printers have the ability to interface with different media types such as memory sticks, memory cards, and cameras. You will also see what are called multi-function printers that combine printing, scanning, faxing, and photocopying all into one device.

MONITOR:
The monitor is your view into the computer. They come in all shapes and sizes, but the main ones being sold today are LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) monitors. There's quite a big difference between LCD and CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) monitors and CRT monitors are slowly being phased out and replaced by LCD's. LCD monitors are much lighter and thinner, they take up less space, and provide a crisper more focused image.

 SPEAKERS:
Computer speakers, or multimedia speakers, are speakers external to a computer, that disable the lower fidelity built-in speaker. They often have a low-power internal amplifier.

 SCANNER:
In computing, an image scanner—often abbreviated to just scanner— is a device that optically scans images, printed text, handwriting, or an object, and converts it to a digital image.

CPU:
The central processing unit (CPU) is the portion of a computer system that carries out the instructions of a computer program, and is the primary element carrying out the computer's functions. The central processing unit carries out each instruction of the program in sequence, to perform the basic arithmetical, logical, and input/output operations of the system.

Five examples of Input Devices

MOUSE:
Electronic Device used to transmit data and commands to a computer.

 BLUETOOTH ADAPTER:
is a proprietary Open Wirelesstechnology standard for exchanging data over short distances (using short wavelength radio transmissions) from fixed and mobile devices, creating Personal Area Networks (PANs) with high levels of security.

 CAMERA:
Computer camera used for fluid images for user-friendly web chatting.

 GAMING DEVICES:
As Computer Gaming gained popularity, many gaming devices were created to enhance our gaming experience.

 KEYBOARD:
In computing, a keyboard is typewriter keyboard, which uses an arrangement of buttons or keys, to act as mechanical levers or electronic switches. After punch cards and paper tape, interaction via teletype-style keyboards became the main input device for computers.

My experience with technology (Computer)

It would always seems as if I'm ignorant if I encounter new technologies. The first time computer became popular (I can't remember the exact date :)) I was amazed with what it brings, it makes the world easy and comfortable in terms of communications, typing, and other difficult works that made the computer easy. however, as it evolves in our world nowadays, it seems that there are lots of people who got addict (I mean, they already change their daily routines because they are already used of computers, which is not good) the people, especially those teenagers. In my condition, I know how to use my time in dealing with computers, i know how to balance my time. In my case, it is not a destruction but it is a useful tool in dealing with my studies, especially in the research(",)

Andrea's Insights

  • Expectations to the subject and teacher.
_As a student, i have my own expectations toward the subject and to our professor. I really expect to the latter that he is kind hearted (won't fail me)hehe I expect that he will deliver the lessons vividly so that we can easily understand it. It's our first time to have this laboratory about Information Technology and I found it interesting compared to those laboratory in sciences. I also expect that he is not quick tempered because we are the kind of students who expresses our ideas bluntly (yes, we are noisy and frank. However, we know how to respect our professors). I also expect that he has no favoritism because most of the professors have that(",)

_I expect to the former that it is easy to learn and will help me in the future (I know it will) :) I am thankful that even though we are AB English students, we are given the privileged to have this minor.
